The earth parts and the smallest of green reaches upwards towards the light. It has worked hard to break through the soil and now the warmth of the sun greets this plant. With nurturing, the vine continues to grow... deepening roots, growing stronger, spreading further.
The vine... spreading, twisting and firmly wrapping itself around that which it has intertwined itself to. That which once stood alone is now covered in a lush foliage and much of the original structure is no longer seen.
John 15:5 "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing"
When I accepted Christ, he was just a small part of my life. He had just broken through, like a new vine breaking through ground. By nurturing the relationship, Christ has became an important part of my life. His promises, grace and love have supported me in crisis times and it is through his strength that I have achieved and lived.
As I draw closer, he gets stronger. Roots of faith deepen, trust and confidence grows. I realise that with him, I can withstand the elements.
As I listen to his voice and learn, I am covered in the lushness of his grace and those unsightly elements in my life are no longer seen. His mercy covers me and his ways, his thoughts become more evident. I let go of the selfish me and welcome the grace of God.
With him, I become stronger, I can do more, be more, live more. I achieve far more than I ever could on my own. My faith is an integral part of me and it gives me hope, peace, comfort and cause for celebration. Together we are unstoppable for my God is the God of impossible.
I love where he has taken me, what he has shown me and how he continues to refine me. Life is richer and fuller when I let God take over.
